The news of Suri’s passing first surfaced through a social media post by Vijay Lokapally, leaving many in disbelief. Despite his deteriorating health in recent times, his sudden demise has deeply saddened those who knew him personally and professionally. According to local sources, his last rites were performed earlier in the day.
Suri began his distinguished career in Lucknow, working under Alex Chandy at The Times of India. Known for his sharp writing and humble nature, he quickly earned respect within journalistic circles. A skilled cricketer himself, particularly as a bowler, Suri possessed deep insight into the game, which reflected in his impactful coverage.
